Can a book fulfill the depth of romance between two characters in only 68 pages – yes.  Can this same quick book have you fall in love with the female character if she is a mute and never says one word to her alpha male – absolutely!

Lord Trevor Caulfield despises the ton with it mindless chatter and endless women in pursuit of a titled husband.  Trevor sneaks away from one of the balls he did not wish to be at and found the woman he had been seeking – unpretentious, warm and quiet? While Trevor always thought he would marry a Hatton and thought it to be Caroline but it was her sister Emma that would turn his head.  Meeting and falling in love with Emma was an unexpected and unconventional match.  Emma had been kept away from society and specifically the ton due to her inability to utter even a sound since birth.  Her parents were ashamed of her and her sister jealous of anyone that took attention away from her.

While Emma being mute may have turned many a Lord away Trevor could not resist Emma’s honest expressions and ability to love with all of her heart without ever saying the words.  While both families doubted and were skeptical of this match Trevor prevailed to win Emma’s heart and her hand in marriage.

This story is very short and your only regret is that there are not more pages for you to absorb the love between these two characters who both find in the other the one missing part of their lives which is love and do all of this with an expression of love that requires no words.
