Vivianna Greentree and her sisters were abducted and left abandoned as children. As a result, she grew up with the single-minded determination to help orphans. That is why she is in London trying to track down known rake Sir Oliver Montgomery, she has learned that he is planning to demolish her Shelter For Poor Orphans, and she is going to stop him by any means necessary.

Sir Oliver Montgomery has been carefully laying out a trap for the man who murdered his brother. By acting the rake and wastrel, he has made everyone believe that he is on a downward spiral, which is exactly what he intended. The only thing left to do is tear down Candlewood, and find the key to unmasking a murderer.

Sparks fly from their first meeting through every one of their encounters. There is no end to the scorching tension between Oliver and Vivianna. They are a perfectly matched pair. I could sympathize with both of their plights, Vivianna, fighting to keep the only home that those children ever knew, and Oliver wanting to serve justice to a most deserving individual.

The blazing sensuality and erotic love scenes pleasantly surprised me. I admit the temperature rose reading some of those scenes. I liked Vivianna very much, she stood up for what she believed in and was no simpering miss. Although she was a virgin, she was not one of those tedious ones that are terrified of sex. She was eager and willing to give in to her desire for Oliver.

Oliver, although acting the rake, was kind and courageous, but was blinded for a time with the urge to bring to light his brother’s killer. He was taken with Vivianna’s honesty and innocence, and although she hampered his plans, he could not resist her. She was a breath of fresh air in a life that had gone stagnant with the pursuit of vengeance and feelings of guilt.

I thoroughly enjoyed Lessons In Seduction and am looking forward to reading Rules Of Passion. I was especially intrigued by the youngest Greentree sister, Francesca. I am anxious to read her story, she sounds like a very deep and complex young woman, and it will be interesting to see whom her hero will be.

If you are in the mood for a Regency romance with lots of heart and some steamy love scenes, then do pick up Lessons In Seduction. You will not be disappointed.
